Since 2007, we have led to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for MUSC Children's Hospital. We are the College of Charleston’s largest student-run philanthropic organization, and the 2017-18 Student Organization of the Year.

Our Mission

Charleston Miracle raises money and awareness for our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital at MUSC. The money that we raise currently supports the campaign for the new MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital, and in particular, sponsoring a couplet room in the new hospital. Comprised of and run only by students, we are the largest philanthropic student-run organization at the College of Charleston.

As an organization, we host many events throughout the school year to engage our campus and community for our cause. These events help us spread the word about who we are and what we stand for as we raise money, recruit new members, and interact with our Miracle Families and hospital. All of our events and fundraising lead up to CougarThon, our capstone event in late February/early March. Our participants and Miracle families come together for 13 hours of performances, dancing, and activities as we complete our last big fundraising push. At the end of the 13 hours, we celebrate our families as we reveal just how much money we raised that season. You won’t want to miss it!

What We've Achieved

Over the past 12 years we have raised $739,757.60 for MUSC Children's Hospital. We have had the privilege to be working towards supporting the campaign for the new MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital, and this past year marked our third and final year in an agreement to sponsor a room by raising $150,000, so there will now be a couplet room on the 5th floor in the new hospital named in recognition of Charleston Miracle.
